Auditions
for
Principal Cello & Second Trumpet
The principal cellist is responsible for bowings and fingerings as needed, and for assisting in auditions for cello section openings and occasional assistance with other auditions.
Audition requirements for principal cellist are:
- One prepared solo, 3-5 minutes (can be section of larger work)
- One movement from an unaccompanied Bach cello suite
- 3 Major scales
- 3 Minor scales
- Sight reading
Applications due December 1
Auditions on Dec 9 or Dec 16
For Second Trumpet audition requirements are:
- One prepared solo, 3-5 minutes (can be section of larger work)
- 2 Major scales
- 2 Minor scales
- Sight reading
